OBSERVE & REPORT (R for profanity, nudity, strong violence, an abundance of vulgar, intentionally profane dialog)

Jody Hill, writer/director, knows what will sell and she delivers 96-minutes of momentarily shocking vulgarities and ugliness that departs only in ongoing smut from "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" in its aim to top the original in every obscene way possible. It has been called a "rancid and unpleasant 'black comedy'" by one critic for its ongoing, mostly improvised profanity - sometimes for minutes on end - strung together with occasionally other brief dialog for continuity purposes.

Seth Rogan (the best thing in the film with his crooked smile, powerful ego as a single-minded crime buster, utter stupidity and open-faced lugubrious nature) is a mall official out to capture a flasher seen around the area. In his obsessive drive he manages to cause chaos time after time, but who cares; that's what the flick is all about - a glimmer of clever satire overcome by boorishness, grossness, rudeness, smut and a touch of porn. Sadly, when it isn't crude, it's brutal. It's a comedy for people who love twisted humor wallowing in offensiveness.
